During the Tuesday, 12 July maintenance window, maintenance work will affect certain services, starting at 5:30 PM and being completed before midnight. The following work is planned:
Data centre routing: a configuration change will be made to routing between data centres and the rest of campus. A number of brief interruptions are expected, during which time all services hosted in the data centres will be unreachable. In the event of unforeseen problems, longer outages are possible.
This work was previously scheduled for 5 July, but could not be completed then due to other work and Eskom loadshedding.
This work is being conducted during a minor maintenance period. Should there be a compelling reason why this work should not go ahead as planned, please contact support@ru.ac.za before 3:00 PM on Tuesday.
