• Outgoing phone calls: all phone calls placed from a phone on the university's PBX to an external number will be routed via a new service provider.  We expect that there will be a period of around an hour during which it might not be possible to place outgoing calls to external numbers.  Internal calls and incoming calls (calls from an external number to a number on the university PBX) should be affected.

• Printing services: software that handles accounting of print jobs will be updated, starting at 6 PM.  It will not be possible to print to any iPrint queues which use print job accounting/charging for an hour.  This update was attempted during the September 3rd maintenance window, but could not be completed then.

This work is being conducted during a minor maintenance period. Should there be a compelling reason why this work should not go ahead as planned, please contact support@ru.ac.za before 3:00 PM on Tuesday.
