Due to very low utilisation, the AlwaysOn commercial Wi-Fi service currently available on Rhodes University's campus and certain public libraries will be discontinued from 1 September 2018.
Rhodes University staff and students (as well as visiting staff and students of other higher-education institutions) will still be able to make use of the eduroam Wi-Fi service; while conference delegates will be able to use the Events@Rhodes Wi-Fi service. All other visitors should make use of LTE or 3G mobile Internet access services.
