IT scheduled maintenance work will occur on Tuesday, March 22nd, starting at 5:30 PM and being completed before midnight.
During this time, Jackal (one of our LDAP servers), will be migrated to a new SUSE operating system. During migration, you might experience authentication issues which could affect access to different services like Wi-Fi access, VPN access, Terminalfour access, accessing your shared folders & home directories and authenticating in the labs.
This work is being conducted during a minor maintenance period. Should there be a compelling reason why this work should not go ahead as planned, please contact support@ru.ac.za before 1 PM on Tuesday 22nd. Please detail the specific service(s) that would adversely affect you.
