IT scheduled maintenance work will occur on Tuesday, January 19th, starting at 5:30 PM and being completed before midnight.

During this time, critical security updates will be installed on approximately thirty servers, including those responsible for:
  • DNS
  • DHCP
  • NTP
  • RT
  • Web proxies
  • Registration system
  • Incoming e-mail
  • Outgoing e-mail
  • E-mail mailboxes
  • Webmail
  • Mailing lists
  • SMS
  • Apple Software Update Server
  • Provisioning (web proxy autodiscovery, telephone provisioning)
  • Wi-Fi and VPN authentication
  • CHERTL Evaluation Assistant
  • Network graphs
  • Guest network access
  • Network monitoring
  • Terminal Four content management system
  • RU Single Sign-On system
  • Main web server (, etc)

For each server that's updated, an outage of between 5 and 15 minutes is expected.

This work is being conducted during a minor maintenance period. Should there be a compelling reason why this work should not go ahead as planned, please contact support at before 1 PM on Tuesday 19th. Please detail the specific service(s) that would adversely affect you.
