Shortly before 2AM this morning, the University's main incoming mail server crashed as a result of a disk inconsistency. As a result, users will have been unable to read their e-mail via imap.ru.ac.za.
The machine is currently in the process of rebooting and checking its disks. We expect that this will take up to an hour.
