On Tuesday 11th November Neotel will be undertaking some scheduled maintenance on their equipment in our Africa Media Matrix data centre. This will result in a brief (15 - 30 minute) Internet outage some time between 15:30 and 17:00 (the exact timing is not certain).
During the outage all users will be unable to browse the web or access other resources on the Internet. They will most likely experience this as an ERR_DNS_FAIL or ERR_CONNECT_FAIL error when trying to access affected web sites.
The outage is necessary to change the power supply in the microwave link that connects Rhodes to Neotel's infrastructure.
