As previously announced, use of the ru.ac.za wireless network has been deprecated since August 2013. In January, the network was hidden to discourage its use. As of 3PM this afternoon, it has now been discontinued.
Users who connect to the ru.ac.za wireless network will now be unable to get network or Internet access. Instead they will be presented with an error message telling them to reconfigure their device to use the eduroam wireless network.
