2012/07/03 - Slow Internet Connections
We are currently experiencing approximately 15% packet loss between Rhodes and the SANReN point-of-presence in Port Elizabeth. You'll likely experience this as "slow" connections to the Internet that might periodically time out.

The problem has been reported to TENET's service desk and we're awaiting a response from them.
This problem appears to be due to a faulty fibre optic patch lead between SANReN's router and access switch in the Port Elizabeth PoP.

It was resolved (and our ticket with the service desk closed) at about 17:15.

However, at about 22:30 the problem re-emerged. TENET's service desk have been notified.
