During the Tuesday, March 6th maintenance window, maintenance will be done on the routers within the West Campus and Mid Campus sectors. This will cause complete network and IP telephone outages for (hopefully brief) periods for all computers in those sectors. The areas of campus involved are:
  • West Campus: the area bounded by Prince Alfred St, South Street, and Worcester Street (but excluding The Lodge).
  • Mid Campus: the area bounded by Prince Alfred Street, Rhodes Avenue, Lucas Avenue, as far as (and including) Beit House, John Kotze House, Olive Schreiner House and Botha House.
This maintenance work is being undertaken in the ITSC-approved scheduled maintenance window. Work will start at 7PM, and it is expected that all work will be completed well before midnight.
