The Information Technology Division's help desk (x8288) is currently experiencing problems with its telephone call centre. Incoming calls to the help desk are cut off before or shortly after they're answered.

If you're trying to report problems to our help desk and are having trouble getting through on the phone or are cut off, please e-mail details of your problem to support@ru.ac.za instead (or get a colleague to do this for you if your problem affects e-mail).

We've reported the problem with the telephone system to our suppliers, and are currently waiting for someone to arrive from Port Elizabeth to investigate. At present we have no estimate of the time-to-repair.
