TENET engineers will be switching the Neotel MPLS connection at the Bree Street datacentre from a 1 Gbps port to a 10 Gbps port this forthcoming Sunday (31 January 2010) during the standard maintenance window, between 00h00 and 04h00. At the same time two route reflectors will be added to the network to improve manageability. The entire exercise will affect all sites using the Orange or Orange Light service bouquet, as well as the University Of Stellenbosch. Affected sites should assume that all TENET Internet services will be unavailable for the duration of the change.
Users will likely experience the outages as an ERR_DNS_FAIL or ERR_CONNECT_FAIL error when trying to access sites on the Internet.
