At approximately 1:30PM this afternoon, the University lost access to international sites as result of a routing loop. Sites that are part of the national research and education network (i.e. other universities) remain reachable, as do most national sites. Users will likely experience these outages as an ERR_DNS_FAIL or ERR_CONNECT_FAIL error when trying to access websites hosted overseas (including sites with .za addresses hosted overseas).
The fault has been reported to TENET's service desk and they're currently investigating.
