Neotel will be carrying out a hardware capacity upgrade at our Sharkhead PoP, this Sunday, in order to match increased demand from our institutions. The maintenance will take place during the agreed standard maintenance window (between 00:00 and 02:00). The impact of the maintenance, during the 2 hour period, will be network wide and all institutions should expect a complete loss of National and International internet access service during this time.
Users will likely experience this outage as an ERR_DNS_FAIL or ERR_CONNECT_FAIL error when trying to access websites hosted off campus. E-mail that's sent or received during the outage will be queued, and will be delivered once Internet access restored.
