At approximately 8:15PM this evening, the core switch in Struben building locked up. As a result of this, most users East of Jan Smuts dining hall will have had intermittent or no network access. Users to the West of Jan Smuts (Kimberly hall et al) should have been largely unaffected, except when trying to access machines located in the affected area.
Network access was restored a few minutes ago.
I strongly suspect this is related to the outage earlier this evening.
