Many years ago, used to serve as the University's main web server. For historical reasons dating back to this time, some users are still hosting personal web pages on this machine.

During the course of the four weeks or so, terrapin will be replaced by a new machine. When this happens, existing personal web pages on the machine will not be migrated to the new platform. This is because the new platform simply can't support these sorts of web pages (it'll be cloned from a single, centralised image) and means that anyone who is currently hosting a web page on needs to find an alternative location for their page.
