Work will be carried out today on the fibre optics that link various parts of St Peters campus to Rhodes' network. Each fibre optic cable is going to be traced and some switches will be replaced during this operation. This will result in intermittent loss of connectivity throughout the day for all buildings on St Peters campus.
The intention of this exercise is to try and diagnose (and perhaps resolve) the network performance issues that have been affecting this area of late.
