There's currently an internal network outage in the region of St Peter's campus. This will affect telephones, network & Internet access in the immediate vicinity.
The outage has been caused by electrical work in Beethoven House, which houses the regional distribution switch for this area. It seems that the electricians are replacing a distribution board in Beethoven House, and have turned the power off to our facility. Unfortunately the electricians did not see fit to tell us that they were going to do this...
Our UPS has kept networking up for approximately three hours, but has now run out of battery capacity. As a result all areas served by this facility are now without network access.
We've been in contact with the manager of the Electrical section of Estates Division and asked that they expedite the restoration of power to our facility.
