We've just received notification from Neotel that they intend undertaking scheduled maintenance of our Internet connection on Sunday 30 August during their normal maintenance window (Sunday, midnight to 6AM). This maintenance is service-affecting, and will involve intermittent Internet outages between midnight and 3AM. Users will likely experience these outages as an ERR_DNS_FAIL or ERR_CONNECT_FAIL error when trying to access websites hosted off campus.

This outage is necessary to allow Neotel to re-route Rhodes' traffic entering their Belleville facility in Cape Town. We'll be moved from our existing circuit to a new, protected metro-Ethernet ring.
