At the moment, we have no international Internet access. Whilst you'll still be able to access sites within South Africa, those located overseas (including .za sites hosted outside the country) will not be accessible.
The problem appears to be a failure of the STM-1 circuit between Johannesburg and London, most likely on the London end. It affects all TENET sites connecting via Johannesburg, or about half of the higher educational institutions in the country. The fault is currently being investigated by the Internet Solution, who provide the service.
This problem is unrelated to the general outage yesterday and earlier today.
